Screen Shot 2015-02-18 at 9.12.25 PMThe Missouri Whitewater Association (MWA) is proud to present the 48th Annual Missouri Whitewater Championships held over the weekend of March 21-22, 2015. These weekend-long races attract paddlers from throughout the country who want to challenge their precision in a slalom course and their speed in a downriver race. The races are open to many classes of whitewater boats and all skill levels from novice to expert.

This event is the longest running whitewater race in the country. Held on the Millstream Gardens section of the St. Francis River near Fredericktown, Missouri; the event showcases local and out-of-state paddlers in kayaks and canoes as they test their skills on the class III rapids of the beautiful shut-ins section of the St. Francis River. The shut-ins squeeze the river into a natural, spectator friendly amphitheater overlooking one of the classic whitewater runs in the Midwest.

Viewing the event is free and open to the public, and there will be hot concessions on site!  The first runs begin at 9:30 am, Saturday, March 21. The Saturday races end around 4pm and resume Sunday around 8:30am.  To learn more or to enter the races, go to:
