DNA Annual Kid’s Float – Volunteers Needed

by Ozark Mountain Paddlers on June 15, 2012

Fellow paddlers, we are once again planning our float for disadvantaged kids living in Midtown.  As always we can provide you with three square meals, transportation and in some cases, I will also have boats for you to paddle.

What I need are qualified paddlers to help me get kids down the river.  Due to low water on the James (again) we will most likely hit the Niangua River.  We meet at Boyd Elementary at 8am and return to Boyd at 7pm.  You have the option to meet us at the river and you can also leave the river earlier than the rest of us and be back to Springfield around 5pm, if needed.  If you don’t want to drive your car at all, you can jump on the bus with us and save the gas money.

This year we have 17 kids! so I need 17 boaters!  Hope you can make it, just let me know.
