Let’s get our Irish on with an overnight float on the Current River to celebrate St Patrick’s Day! We will meet at the Round Spring access at 10am sharp on Saturday, March 16, and run shuttle to the takeout at Jerktail Landing. This float is 12.4 miles in length so an ambitious paddler could make it a day trip. For those of us who like a slower pace, we will camp overnight on the river at a location to be determined, somewhere close to the midpoint. Come self-contained. Directions to Round Spring access: Take US 60 E. In Mountain View turn left on MO-17, travel 13 miles and turn right on MO-106 E, continue onto State Hwy D, go 9.3 miles and turn left on MO-19N. Turn right into Round Spring campground.
