Ozark Mtn Paddlers Is Back On Track !

We are pleased to announce we are ready to start up our monthly meetings and other club activities.
We will have our “Coming Out” meeting this Thursday, May 13th and our first official club float Saturday, May 15th on the Buffalo River (Erbie to Pruitt) CLICK HERE TO VIEW FULL POST.

To commemorate our first meeting since the onset of the Pandemic we are having a cookout from 5:30pm to 6:30pm followed by our meeting from 6:30pm to 7:30pm.

We will be serving burgers, dogs, chips, and drinks to all that want to drop by and visit prior to the meeting.
The cookout and meeting is being held at the Quail Creek Neighborhood Pool and Pavilion which is just off Republic Rd between Kansas and Campbell (see map).

Please feel free to stop by if you are a past member, current member or just want to check out what we are all about.
Our speaker for the meeting is Matt Taylor, Operations Manager for the new Fellows Lake project which is quickly taking shape under the direction of the Watershed committee of the Ozarks and Springfield City Utilities. Matt will share current activities and future plans for hiking trails, mountain biking trails and a significant investment into watersports activities at the lake with a focus on being environmentally friendly. OMP will be hosting events at Fellows Lake in conjunction with the Watershed Committee beginning with a June 5th Introduction to Paddling Clinic that is already on the schedule of events.

We look forward to working closely with Matt, the Watershed Committee, and all of the people involved with the Fellows Lake project in the coming year.

Hope to see you on Thursday the 13Th!
