I will make this short since I am writing two articles for this months Newsletter (See Trip Report). The “Swimming In Moonshine” event scheduled for August has been cancelled due to extreme heat and low water levels. There are plenty of upcoming events if you are looking for ways to participate in OMP.
We will have a Member Monthly Float in August, Lead by the lovely Dawn. (Moonlite Float perhaps). We will be teaching women new paddling skills at the Women of the Outdoors event, hosted by the Wildlife Turkey Federation. This event is also scheduled for August and our own Brian Grindstaff will be looking to us for some instructors. Septembers member meeting will be a Boat Rigging/Gear Swap/BBQ combo event. This meeting will take place on Thursday evening @ 6:30pm on September 13th. Brian Grindstaff will be our host, the party will be at Brians business (Machine Concepts) in Rogersville.
