SPRING OUTING! • April 22nd-24th (FRIDAY-SUNDAY) • ALL/MULTI-DAY EVENT! at Turner Bend in AR on the Mulberry River • This will serve as our April Member’s Meeting • Camping is available Friday and Saturday • Activities include: boating, hiking, cycling, or hanging around camp • Group cookout Saturday night!• Contact Gary Tombridge at 417.861.6056 or at ozarkmtnpaddlers@gmail.com to RSVP.  **NOTE: This location is subject to change IF the water levels are too high/low. JRBP ANNUAL EARTH DAY CLEANUP – April 22nd (FRIDAY) 12:30pm – 5:00pm • James River (Joe Crighton Access to Lake Springfield/Southwood Access) • Please register on the James River Basin Partnership website to volunteer • Contact Todd Wilkinson at 417.860.7862 for more info on this event -OR- click the link below for all the details to register:

MAY MEMBER’S MEETING – May 12th (THURSDAY) • 6:00pm • Springfield Nature Center • Speaker will be representative Jason Gage from Springfield’s City Manager’s office presenting potential plans and opportunities for refurbishing the James River Powerplant location and how OMP members can participate in the project. They want our participation and input!

MAY FLOAT – May 14th (SATURDAY) • 7:00pm • Fellows Lake • This month will be an evening moonlight paddle at Fellows Lake with other members of the local paddling community. The event starts at 7:00pm and attendees will receive a license to paddle their boat on Fellows Lake for an entire year, a $20 value for each attendee. This is part of a regularly scheduled series of moonlight paddles held at Fellows Lake this summer and should be a very unique and fun event for all attendees. You are welcome to come out prior to 7:00pm to hang out, enjoy a picnic dinner, etc. Contact Gary Tombridge at 417.861.6056 for more info.

INTRO KAYAK CLINICS! – May 21st (SATURDAY) • Fellows Lake • We will be conducting kayak clinics for the public. This will be a joint effort between the Ozark Mtn Paddlers and the US Coast Guard utilizing the facilities of Fellows Lake in cooperation with City Utilities and the Watershed Committee of the Ozarks. The course will be 3-4 hrs in duration with a morning and an afternoon session available. More info coming soon, please check the website & Facebook for all updates.

JUNE MEMBERS MEETING – June 9th (THURSDAY) • 6:00pm • Springfield Nature Center • Guest speaker Todd Wilkinson from the James River Basin Partnership and US Coast Guard Auxiliary will be speaking about the Coast Guard’s role in local boating safety and training and interaction with OMP for future training classes. Todd will also have a presentation on the history of Delaware Town on the James River which is near the current Delaware Landing access.

JUNE FLOAT –  June 11th (SATURDAY) • Flat Creek (Hwy 39 Bridge to Hwy EE Bridge = 6.2 miles) • Meet at Braum’s in Aurora at 10am • Contact Terri Bradley at 417.860.1449 for more info.

FLOAT FOR INDEPENDENCE 28! – July 24th (SUNDAY) • Niangua River (Bennett Springs Access to NRO Campground) • Join us as we take a group of special needs kids down the Niangua River for a fun day of paddling, squirt gun fights, and heart warming memories!
